luxurious, comfortable, along with being in the heart of the worlds most desired locations are the exact reason glamping was created. That's not enough? Ok, I get it. Many of us can't sit still, especially when our soul's desire to adventure constantly. Well that's not a problem. There is plenty to keep your mind and body entertained for days. Activities depend upon where you visit of course. For example, traveling to a site in Montana will offer fly-fishing, horse back riding, and atv trail rides. Where as scooba-diving,surfing,and boat tours are must do activities in Bali, Indonesia. Where ever the summer takes you adventure filled days await.

Top 5 Reasons To Go Glamping!
The summer is here! With the travel adventures beginning let us show you why Glamping has become a must worldwide.
Here are a few of the top reasons why glamping is such an unforgettable experience.
1. Unusual places
The number one reason to go glamping is that you stay in unusual places like soaring mountains, sublime countryside settings, or serene beaches.
2. Luxury and Beauty
Another one of glamping's greatest attractions has to be having all the luxuries of home while still being in the heart of nature.
A comfortable bed, incredible outdoor shower's, Wifi, and most of all, a coffee maker to get your morning adventures started!
3. Glamping takes you right where you want to be.
Jump off your deck into the crystal blue ocean or open your back door and walk down the path to the hidden waterfall that no one knows about except the few other guests. Your staying close to it all.
4. The views are amazing
Tired of looking at concrete buildings and endless urban sprawl? When you glamp, you're getting away in style. Imagine being surrounded by the Rocky Mountains or surrounded by dense jungle. It's all possible and there are glamping places in every nook and cranny around the world. Crave to see the grasslands in Mongolia?
5. Eco Friendly
Tents require next to nothing to be assembled and leave a very small footprint compared to your typical structures. The wild stays wild and you can feel good that you're not destroying the natural vegetation around you while you get to enjoy the true beauty of the world's most incredible destination's.

You park, and lock up. Walk though the front door into the lobby. Bam. Dejavu. Your thousand's of miles from home, in a country that you have never been to before. Yet, everything inside this extravagant, very expensive structure seems oddly familiar… We love to travel. That's no secret. But, did you really wander far from home only to end up at the same hotel located 10 minutes from your house? Experience is king now a days. Get away from the familiar, try new things, and explore the world your way. We didn't invent glamping. We perfected it.

Slowly opening your eye, rolling over you take a moment to let your vision come into focus. You listen closely. And from the comfort of your bed. You hear the gentle movement of the wind traveling through the jungle forest, the crow of the early rising rooster, and the roar from the creek flowing full force down stream. After a few minutes you decide to go observe the morning in this unfamiliar paradise. Putting yourself together, you grab a hot cup of coffee and make your way outside the door of your tent. The sun starting to break through the tree's canopy, allowing for you to see that the clouds have truly come to surround you, covering the entire property. Walking through the fog, you come to the edge of your deck. Sitting high, maybe 20-30 feet above the ground, your mouth drops open. Unable to believe your eyes. You close them, slowly reopening. Only to see that you were not still dreaming. The view is breath taking. Peering out over and through the tree tops to the valley below. Jungle vines, and trees as far as you can see. Watching the clouds come and go from one side of the valley to the other and observing hundreds of birds fly from branch to branch both near and far. After a few moments of trying to take it all in, you look up and from the tree's above looking back down at you there is a family of howler monkey's. Quiet and peaceful going about there day of collecting and eating fruits, swinging from vine to vine, and just plan out relaxing. Realizing that this is all within the first 10 minutes of rolling out of bed you sit down, smile, and take another sip of coffee. The adventure has only just began.

This is our craft.
In the last couple weeks we've had a couple clients, who we call "converts" (clients who used other tent companies, found us, and switched) ask us:
"It's obvious that you guys always manufacture tents that totally blow other companies out of the water. Why are your tents always better then the rest?"
We wont give away our "secret recipe" on how to make the worlds best luxury tents, but we will share with you what makes us so special. The answer is quite simple actually and most clients don't realize that the answer is part of their question.
Other tent companies manufacture, make, or build tents. We craft tents. Crafting is something that goes beyond quality. What we do transcends into every stitch, every cut, every client, and every need.
Manufactures care about how many tents they can make an hour and how much money they can make on every cent they spend. They're always will to sacrifice quality for quantity. Manufactures wear suits and ties and treat their tents as just a job. It's sad.
Some advice, don't trust a tent manufacture with soft hands who wears a suit and tie. To make damn good tents it takes hard work and dedication. It cant just be a job. It has to be a life's passion. You have to care more about your product and your customer then your bottom line.
So let me ask you, who do you want to make your tent, a manufacture or a craftsmen?

Here at Exclusive Tents International we pride ourselves on crafting the worlds most beautiful and durable tents. Even after more than a decade we have never stopped exploring how we can make our own designs even better. Recently our team has been discussing, how we can improve the galvanization process of our mild steel frames. Long story short, our method was good, but was not exceeding our expectations. Since galvanization helps prevent rusting, it was super important that we found a solution to this and provided an even more rust resistance mild steel frame.
We are extremely excited to announce that we are now going to be powder coat painting our mild steel frames instead of galvanizing them! This is huge for two main reasons. One, it will
provide an even better rust resistance inside and outside of our tubular framing. Two, you will soon be able to order your tent frame in almost any color you can imagine. How cool is that!
We will be implementing the powder coat process to our frames starting somewhere in the middle of this year.
We are just so excited about this that we couldn't help ourselves but tell you guys a little early.

Exclusive Tents International along with the owner of 4 Rivers Floating Lodge, Cambodia, really managed to get the imagination running wild with the creation of the worlds first ever floating lodge.
4 Rivers Floating Lodge is more than your dream retreat. The real beauty is the unique experience this resort offers to clients. Within a short amount of time the entire resort can be relocated anywhere along the Tatai River in which it resides. The freedom lies within the tents ability to share not only a section of the river with clients, but to offer them an experience unlike any other and to really embrace the river experience in full. Leaving a minimal footprint with no long lasting impressions to the environment is a huge focus of ours as was theirs. This project really opened our eyes to the success it has had in achieving such a delicate feat while also maintaining the luxury that is expected with any other 4 star resort.

Happy Thursday!
One of the most important detail's to remember when developing a glamping retreat is that travelers are now seeking more than just reaching a destination.
They are looking for an experience. So you must do your best to not only make the tents as unique as possible. But to also develop the land and the entire
layout of the retreat to be an unforgettable journey for your clients from the moment they first pull up to your property.
We have found that with some strategic and careful planning almost every property has the ability to really capture and highlight the natural surrounds of the area.
Recently, on a trip to evaluate land for a customer in which they intend to develop a large glamping resort, It was a pleasant surprise to find that there were a ton of natural assets already on the property. Including many trees, plants, and large boulders which are all able to be used throughout, to ensure that each tent is designed to submerse itself into the area in the most appealing way possible. Also why exploring the property we found a really cool dried up creek bed, which might be easily overlooked as a key resource to the property to the untrained eye. Yet, since thinking out side the box is what we do, we found that it could be filled with water, then pumped back and forth to create a unique flowing water source throughout the property. This will not only add an awesome ascetic feel, and sound to the land. It will also give water and life to the trees and make the property much greener and more vibrant than it already is.
These natural assets, minor details, and the strategic placement of your tent's are really what create the synergy with the land, and merge your retreat with the surrounding environment. This is what living under canvas is all about.

Happy Wednesday,
Sir Richard Branson's resort, Kasbah Tamadot, in Morocco's High Atlas Mountains has added yet another tent to their collection.
The newest addition is a beautiful wood pole frame Shawu Tent. The installation and set up was completed this past weekend.
Now its on to the interior decorating and applying the finishing touches so the tent is ready to host guests.
If you are considering a wood pole framed tent there are a few thoughts to ponder. First of all ascetically wood poles are beautiful. The ceiling liner may also be removed to allow the natural look of the wood frame to be visible and appreciated. With a wood pole framed tent, the canvas is supplied in panels that need to be fitted and trimmed to size on-site and then stapled to the frame. Making the tent more of a permanent structure. Being that if one wants to move the tent for any reason, all the canvas components will be damaged and need to be replaced whereas with a steel frame tent the canvas components can be taken down without causing damage to the fabric. Setting up a wood pole frame tent is also more time consuming than that of a steel frame and does require a skilled carpenter who knows how to work with wood pole structures. If you do like the look of the wood poles yet still want the ability to take down your tent relatively easily you may want to consider going with vertical wood pole beams supporting a steel roof frame.
Whether you choose the steel legs or the wooden poles 'The world is our canvas' and raising the bar in what is possible, is our specialty.

2015 was a huge year. We were apart of more projects than we could have imagined. Show cased in some large events such as 'The Glamping Show'. As well as witnessed a huge surge in glamping resorts all across the globe. Overall It was definitely our busiest and most successful year yet. More importantly, we were shown that glamping is here to stay.
Glamping accommodations have been popping up all over the world for years now. Finally such a time has come to where it has proven itself to be more than just some eco friendly trend that will come and go. It is here to stay. The risk is no longer there, and business owners no longer have to take a walk through the unknown. It has been proven over and over that people are willing to spend good money, as well as time traveling to off the grid destinations. Especially when there is an experience unlike any-other waiting for them. Lavish hotels and resorts have been around forever. Thats nothing new. The time is now for those who want to offer there clients an unforgettable journey, and vacation that they will never forget. Oh yeah, on top of that… Who else can say that we can make your idea a reality all in just about 4 months time?

Hey Guys,
We wish a very Happy Holidays to all of those who celebrate!
It is winter now for the Northern Hemisphere! Over the past month we have received many questions regarding what the most efficient way to go about heating the tents would be. The tents are a fabric structure and though we do not recommend open flames within our tents for obvious reasons, we do have numerous customers who have successfully installed stoves and heaters without any issue. Below are some of our clients preferred methods to heat their tents when the cold temperatures come rolling in.
Whether it is an HVAC (mini split units), a free standing gas/electric heaters, water radiators, or a wood-burning stove there are many ways to heat a tent. When it comes to choosing wood burning stoves (a highly chosen option) one obviously needs to install a chimney pipe through the tent for the smoke. We do offer an option to install a stove jack (heat resistant hole for the chimney pipe to pass through the fabric) for this purpose, but it is best to pass the chimney pipe through the wall of the tent as opposed to through the roof because of the multiple layers of fabric. It is however still possible to put a chimney pipe through the roof. It is also advised to anyone using any flame-generated heat, to get all the fabrics treated with flame retardant, which is an additional option that we offer.
Again it truly is up to you to determine what will work best for you in your location when it comes to heating a tent.

We are very excited to announce that we have a brand new tent design.
And it was unveiled for the first time a few months ago at the most recent 'Glamping Show'
This is a tent of ours that most of you are already familiar with. But with a twist.
Now unlike any of our other designs. We offer a Kingfisher Tent that is able to be set up w/ out a deck!
This is brand new to us at Exclusive Tents. And we have used an innovative design which we call socket and strap tension technology.
Which allows the tent to be stable and free standing on the ground with a built in groundsheet.
This new design is perfect for the client looking for a quick set up and take down for any reason.
We are excited to share more news with you in the upcoming weeks.

Hey Guys!!
Happy Tuesday,
We hope that you had a happy holiday weekend to all of those who celebrate.
Not only do our designs radiate luxury, their overall versatility is truly unlike any other. And if you let your imagination run wild, you may even find some multifunctional uses for the components within and around the tents that will allow your property to stand out from all the rest.
As an example one of our clients has used the roof frames corner brackets as a method for collecting rain water. She is then able to use the collected water and distribute it to her garden, as well as to store it, and purify it, to be used for bathing and drinking at a later time. Another client chooses to use the same corner brackets on his tent as a lantern holder. The lanterns when combined with rope light, and lit candles all along the deck at night create one unforgettable ambiance. Now lanterns are not the only thing that work great, other decor will work just as well. Along with the light display, the same client has even done something that I found to be somewhat of a genius idea. All along the hand rails, which run the entire length of the deck they ran some 6" pvc pipe and cut openings in the top of the pipe before filling with soil. And within that pvc pipe planted a vegetable garden! Included are some tomato plants, all different types of peppers, spices, beans, and basil. This is useful for so many reasons. One is that it allows the plants to become a really unique natural decor strung all along the handrails. Creating a seamless environment looking out from your deck into your natural environment. Second, it makes for the watering and proper care of your garden very easy to do. And third you then have a supply of these tasty homegrown vegetables at your fingertips. These are just a few examples, but really…
We're here to imagine, explore, and help you create your vision of "Living Under Canvas."
No landscape is off limits and no clients vision is impossible.

Happy Friday!
I have a blog that was inspired by a recent trip to visit a client living in some of our tents. She lives in 3 of our tents permanently. 2 Bateleur Tents, And 1 Mambrrr Tent.
All of which are on a 5000 Sq. ft deck that is elevated 25-30 feet above ground. Since it is a permanent residence and not temporary,
she has decided to utilize every inch of space on the property. With a super elevated deck, the possibilities are endless.
There are many benefits to having a raised deck over your typical platform that sits right on the ground. One of the biggest reasons you should consider an elevated platform
is that you are practically able to double the use of the same sq. footage when done properly. This specific client has used the underside of their deck to create a parking garage,
a storage basement, and even shelter for their pets. But that is only one clients vision. Others have decided to utilized the same space to create a work shop, and even a guest room.
Like we have said before, if you envision it, you can create it. When constructing your tented retreat, we encourage all of our clients, to be conscious, and as least invasive as possible to the environment. Another yet amazing benefit to having an elevated deck is that it will allow for all of the natural vegetation to grow back with time. Which will make for even less of a overall footprint to the environment.

Many of our tents are designed with the freedom to completely open up to a full 360 view of your land. Each of the canvas walls are individually able to be rolled up and down at your leisure. Really allowing you to merge with the surroundings and enabling you to completely submerse yourself within the environment.
Honestly it really makes you wonder why so many of us are still isolated inside our homes... First hand, I have had the pleasure of rising with the sun, sipping my morning coffee, all while relaxing under a Battleur Tent with all the canvas walls rolled up. And there really is no other way to explain the beauty, and vibrant energy that waking up to the amazing view and relaxing, amongst the tree's canopy will bring to you.

Happy Friday!
Since our tents as used for permanent living, one night accommodations, and weekend getaways, there have been many questions as to how to cook inside the tent. And well it seems that more often than not our clients have actually designated a portion of the deck to an outdoor grilling / cooking area instead of building the kitchen inside the tent. This seems to be the best solution. Here are some of the advantages to cooking outside: Not every meal will smell like moms home cooking, and with all the food being prepared outside the smell will no longer linger well into the night... Or even worse the next day. Also even though our tents are coated with a fire retardant, having an open flame in a fabric structure is never a good idea. This will also help with the overall longevity of your tent and eliminate the grease from collecting on the canvas. But most of all, it will allow for you to enjoy the outdoors and merge the surrounding environment with your living quarters.

Dear Exclusive Tents::
I have purchased some coastal property located in the Fiji Islands, and we are considering building a tented retreat in a high hurricane prone area. What are your thoughts or recommendations for a retreat in such a location.
This is a topic of discussion that frequently comes up when some customers consider purchasing a tent. Before going further it is best to understand that these types of storms are the largest most powerful and devastating weather systems found on Earth. They can cover vast areas and cause extreme damage to structures and often lead to the death of many people who are caught is their destructive paths…
Though they can vary in size and intensity, Hurricanes, Cyclones and Typhoons (the same weather systems with different names depending on geographical area where they occur) are all very serious and dangerous weather systems and not to be underestimated in anyway whether it is for a solidly constructed building or for a tent in its path. Even though 80 to 90 percent of the populations living in storm-prone areas have never experienced the core of a hurricane, a disaster, if not a catastrophe, is waiting to happen with every hurricane season. It's only a matter of time. When it comes to tents in these type storms, they are not designed to withstand such intense wind forces but therein are the advantages of having a tent in that it can be taken down quickly and stored or alternatively brought down, covered in a tarp and lashed to the deck only to be re-erected after the storm has passed.
There are normally a lot of warnings these days when such storms are approaching a landfall, which provides enough time to takedown and secure your tents. It is imprudent to think that fabric structures will be able to take the abuse of such a forceful and aggressive type weather system.
It is not necessary to take the roof frame down though it may sustain damage from flying debris. The roof fly's should either be removed or if one is willing to risk the storm, the fabrics can be furled (rolled up) along the length of the frame until they reach the ridge from either side and can then collectively be lashed to the frame that no part is loose or can flap around in the winds and cause damage to itself or the frame.
It is not the steady wind that one needs to concern one's self about it is the rapid high-speed gusts that will cause the most damage to a tent.
I hope that this shed some light on the situation, and gave you some comfort knowing that even in an area of concern there is always a solution.
Here at Exclusive Tents. 'The world is our canvas' and raising the bar in what is possible is our specialty.

Our tents have become a permanent living quarters for a lot of our clients for many years now, Including our owner. He lives full time in 3 of our tents arranged in a pavilion style layout… If thats not believing in your company I don't know what is…Now over the last few years we have seen a large amount of clients seeking out a reliable structure to place on their newly purchased land, to use as a living space while they construct their dream home. Our tents are a perfect solution for those who do not want to move on to their land and live in an inadequate dwelling while there home is being built. And we all know that comfort is key during what can be a long and stressful process. Another huge bonus to choosing one of our tents as your temporary residence is that you could even incorporate it into the overall layout of your permanent house. Either as a guest house, additional dinning/lounge area, or man cave/entertainment area. I would recommend checking out a few designs such as The Serengeti Tent, The Kambaku Tent, as well as The Kingfisher Tent, which are personally some of my favorites. And from time to time we even have some tents 'In Stock' and ready to shipped out within days. Currently we have 5 Kambaku Tents ready to go. And since we do not always carry 'In stock' tents these will vary in availability and design, but definitely something worth looking into.

I personally enjoy nothing more than to be outdoors with a gentle breeze looking out on to a surreal view… That is when life is complete and everything just makes sense.
The owner of Exclusive Tents, loves living under canvas so much that he permanently resides and has incorporated a Bateleur Tent to be used as his dining room / sitting area. Its elevated on his deck which is about 25 feet off the ground right along side the monkey's deep in a secluded jungle location. Visiting this property has really put a whole new meaning to ' Life is better under canvas'.
To be able to roll up the tents walls while eating, relaxing, and listen to the soundtrack of the wild with a 360 view unlike any other, really makes you wonder why so many of us are still isolated inside our stucco, or brick 'homes' ...

When considering creating a tented paradise, one has to envision completely what you wish to create from beginning to end. Keeping in mind what you and your clients would like to enjoy in order to make the stay in the tent more of an experience than just a habitation.
Be there natural assets on the land or not to achieve your goals. One must consider how to create some of these assets through landscaping, as well as consider bringing in natural materials such as rocks, trees, ponds and screens to name a few. Sandat Glamping did just that and used bamboo screens between tents to create the privacy, but also planted up a lot of vegetation on either side of the bamboo so that once it has matured, they will remove the bamboo, leaving a living natural separation between their tents.
Exclusive Tents Int. can make your great idea a reality. 'The World Is Our Canvas' and raising the bar is our specialty.

Hey Guys,
Happy April!
Its hard to believe that almost a quarter of the year has come and gone, and summer time will be here before you know it. This means that outdoor adventures and bbq's are about to commence…. Let me tell you, were ready! Most of us, especially when we reside in a location that becomes very hot in the summer tend to travel to destinations that are cooler, myself included. Especially when you think about waking up hot bundled under covers as the sun peaks out first think in the morning. Now our tents are made to beat that summer heat, allowing for the most natural ventilation possible, preventing the tent's from any sort of baking effect keeping them cooler on those hot summer days. Heres how …
Exclusive Tents are perfectly suitable for all 4 seasons and almost any environment in the world. Our tents are designed with a 3 part multilayer roofing system. The outer layer which is most exposed to the elements is the shade fly. This is probably the most important layer of the roofing system. Its function is to stop 80% of the suns rays from hitting the tent itself. Which in turn helps keep the inside cooler and prevents any sort of baking effect. It also helps slow down the velocity of the rain striking the pvc rain fly. This allows for an enjoyable ambient rain sound with out it becoming overwhelming. The pvc rain fly is the middle layer, with Its primary function being to prevent the canvas from becoming wet. The final layer of the roof system is the canvas tent body. Since the canvas in-it of itself is water proof and extremely durable in high uv conditions the multilayer roof system only add's to the well established reputation of Exclusive Tents being the most durable in the world. Check out the image below, this should help illustrate the roof and all of its components for you.

"Were not here to sell you a tent, we're here to imagine, explore, and help you create your vision of "Living Under Canvas." No landscape is off limits and no clients vision is impossible."
Seeking out the perfect location on your land for your tents or resort is one of the most important tasks at hand. It is crucial to take note of all the natural assets on the property such as rocks, trees, hill's, stream's, and views etc. in order to determine how to best utilize or integrate these in with the resort's development and the positioning of the tents. Should the property have very little naturally, one must consider how to create some of these assets through landscaping, or other avenues. For example Sandat Glamping is one resort that has done really well with this concept. They used bamboo screens between tents to create the privacy but also planted up a lot of vegetation on either side of the bamboo so that once it has matured, they plan on removing the bamboo, leaving a living natural separation between their tents…
Overall it is best to envision what you really wish to create. Natural assets on the land, or not you should really consider what you and your clients would enjoy, and make the stay in the tent nothing less than an experience.

Hey guys,
Some of our clients from time to time have been interested in placing tents on property that face the very possible threat of hurricanes and natural disasters as such, that no structure would be able to hold up against. So why would anyone even consider placing a tent in such a place you may ask? Well because with such a beautiful piece of land who wouldn't be tempted to start a resort there? Ok, The downside is that your taking a gamble for mother nature to be on your side. Right?
Well fear not. The "what if" questions when starting your own business/resort are endless. Like what if a hurricane or fire comes through our property? Well even when the unexpected happens with our tents you are able to maintain your investment instead of loosing it simply by dismantling the tents ( as long as the situation/time allows ) and waiting out the storm / or simply relocating your business in the rare situation this is your only option. Taking down the tents can be done within a few hours to a day or so as long as you have the appropriate amount of labor on hand. And in some cases it may only be necessary to take down the canvas of the structure leaving the frame still standing to save a bit of time and labor. As you can see these are extremely versatile structures and are able to be set up on some of the worlds most beautiful yet uncharted territories. Here at Exclusive Tents ' The World Is Our Canvas'.

Heres My man!!
Home Sweet Home.
Speaking with a client yesterday about a prospective glamping resort on a sacred Island location, a topic was brought to my attention which I have not covered yet. And that is how and where to obtain all the interior aspect's to your tented retreat. Now for most of our clients Interior design needs we do suggest and strongly encourage each of you to source unique furniture from local artisans. Who we have found to generally use local materials with regional themes. And in doing so really enables the resort to seamlessly blend the environment, culture and essence of the location into the interior of the tent. One of the many resort's that we were apart of which really did a fantastic job with the interior of there tents is Sandat Glamping of Bali, Indonesia ( http://www.glampingsandat.com/ ). Remember that the interior of the tent should enhance your surrounding environment, not seclude you from it!
Happy February!

Welcome to January!
I hope that you all have had a great start to the 2015 year.

Well below I have included a picture of my favorite of the colors that we offer with our designs.
Which happens to be… charcoal grey. Other colors that we offer include: coconut, dove, navy, olive, and sand.
If you wish to check out a specific color feel free to contact us directly via email or on our Facebook.
Happy Friday,
And we wish you all a relaxing weekend!

Happy Tuesday!
I hope that you are all enjoying the week as the holiday rush comes to a close, and with any luck will finally able to settle down and take a few minutes to relax and enjoy some quiet time.
One of the most frequent questions that I get asked almost daily is specific to the frame option's within our tents. And many of you seem to be interested in knowing how to choose the best steel option for your location. So I'll answer that very simply and efficiently for you.
We have 3 options to choose from. Choice 1, our most inexpensive choice, Is the galvanized mild steel frame. This option is best for all sites that are not susceptible to higher humidity levels. The mild steel frame is perfect for dryer locations such as: Arizona, USA. Central, Mexico. and most countries in Africa.
The next grade of steel that we offer for each of our 30+ designs would be the 304 s/s. This is the mid range steel option which is less prone to rusting than the mild steel frame. Which make's this choice perfectly equipped to handle more wet/tropical locations such as Belize, and Costa Rica, along with most of Europe, and Asia's countries. We do strongly recommend for extra peace of mind and to ensure the longevity of the tent, for less dry locations such as the jungle or rain forest, that clients source locally a rust resistant paint compound. This should be applied periodically or every few years. The latest blog covers in great detail the whole suggested process.
Our last option which is our marine grade steel is the 316 S/s frame and is perfectly equipped for most coastal areas, Including The California Cost, Hawaii, or The Bahamas. The 316 s/s is the most weather resistant, least prone to rusting, and is the highest grade steel that we offer. This is a must for all tent sites that will be in close proximity to the ocean.
I hope that this helped clarify the different options that we offer, and made it clearer which steel choice is most appropriate for your area.
Cheers to the end of the 2014 year and I hope that each and everyone of you have a safe and enjoyable New Years.

Hey Guys,
I was recently asked by a client of ours, if we were able to raise the height to one of our tents?
And the answer is Yes! Here's how.
Its tricky to properly articulate the process so this is a perfect time for me to use a picture to help illustrate exactly what I'm talking about.
The standard way to set up a tent is to take each of the tent's wall's and drill them directly into the decking.
So for someone who wishes to have there tent raised for one reason or another, an easy solution is to attach the tent's wall's on top of a 12' vertically standing sub wall.
The sub wall is then instead drilled into the decking, with the tent wall sitting perfectly on top. Which in turn then raises the entire tent body the height of the sub wall.
This extra space/sub wall can be used as a mounting spot for electrical outlets, and also guards against pooling water.
Hope everyone has an awesome day, and is looking forward to the weekend!

Hey Guys,
Happy December!
The holiday season is upon us and the end of the year is quickly approaching. I hope that even with the busy schedule ahead we all remember to enjoy each and every day to its fullest.
One question that we get asked quite often is what are the benefits to using wood poles instead of steel for our tents?
And so here you have it…
If local timber is available near the location of your tent site, I personally suggest going with a vertical wood pole setup. The benefits of having vertical wood poles are not only that it is very esthetically pleasing to ones eyes, it also increases the overall structural integrity of the tents. It is important to note that even when choosing to go with the vertical wood poles the roof framing would still be a steel framed structure. We also suggest vertical wood poles in areas that are prone to harsher wind conditions. We are able to supply the vertical wood poles for you, but it generally benefits the client to obtain the wood locally since shipping restrictions are very tight when dealing with wood. We will be able to provide you with the dimensions needed for the poles.

Hey Guys!
Winter has arrived! And it seems that with the cooler weather upon us, there has been a specific question that many of you have had which is, whether or not you can use a wood burning or propane stove within our luxury tents. We know first hand that many of us find tranquility and great conversation sitting around a fire on a cooler night. And we highly suggest keeping the tradition alive. Now even though our canvas may also be ordered with a fire retardant applied to it as an extra option. We Do NOT recommend using any open flame under our tents due to it being a fabric structure. Non The Less a few of our clients have used either a propane or an electric heater to heat the tents in a harsh winter environment, with no known issues. This along with all other infrastructure's do not come with our tents and must be done on site. I hope that this helped shed some light to the situation and I hope you guys are having a great week!

Happy Wednesday!
We hope that you are all enjoying a nice relaxing week, especially with the holiday season right around the corner.
The next few blog entrees leading us right into the end of the year, are going to be geared towards new as well as existing clients. Not only for those who are simply looking to purchase a tent, but for those who truly view living under canvas as a way of life. 'The world is our canvas' is not a statement as much as it is a direct reflection into the heart and soul of everyone in our team and we wish to share that with each and everyone of you.
Recently we have come out with a new type of canvas that enables our tents to be placed in some of the coldest environments on the planet. We now offer tents suitable even for arctic and polar conditions. The newly designed canvas along with the PVC fly's and windows are infused with a custom blend of PVC fibers to help ensure the tents stay durable and does not become brittle or fracture in sub-zero conditions.
Just some helpful tips to keep your Exclusive Tents performing and looking great for years to come.
* Update * As of now no more orders will be manufactured or completed prior to the end of the year. Our factory is closed for the holidays between December and January and as of right now all of our production lines are full. Please do not forget manufacturing times are based on a first come first serve basis so even tho it may not be completed and shipped until 2015 the earlier you place an order the better.

Happy Monday!
I hope that this past weekend was awesome for each and everyone of you. Last week's blog covered a topic that was very difficult to properly explain. In case you missed it I did a video blog specifically covering how a lot of our tents are based off of the same fundamental design starting with The Bateleur, and ranging on through The Mambrrr Tent.
Well now this week I have decided to aim the blog towards helping you better understand another one of our more popular designs which is The Serengeti Tent. What makes it so difficult to properly pin point exactly which option's would best suit your needs are due to all the available sizes for the one design. All in all, here is a very easy to understand step by step breakdown of:
The Serengeti Tents::
You have 3 different frame options to chose from:
The 4, 5 or 6 Leg Serengeti Tent's 'overall footprint' options are:
4 Leg Serengeti:
16.7' x 20.7' footprint (6.3m x 5.1m)
5 Leg Serengeti:
16.7' x 27.5' footprint (8.4m x 5.1m)
6 Leg Serengeti
16.7' x 34.4' footprint (10.5m x 5.1m)
Next you would choose the desired size you wish to have for your tent body. You would need to make sure when selecting the 'tent body' that it is sized to fit appropriately within the chosen frame.
Available Canvas Body Sizes:
11 feet 6 inches x 15 feet (4.6m x 3.5m)
11 feet 6 inches x 17 feet (5.2m x 3.5m)
11 feet 6 inches x 19 feet 4 inches (5.9m x 3.5m)
11 feet 6 inches x 21 feet 7 inches (6.6m x 3.5m)
If you want to add space in the back of the tent for a bathroom, adding an extra 6 feet 6 inches (roughly 2m) to the back of your tent.
Examples::
The total size of the 5 Leg Serengeti is (8.4m * 5.1m). For the Canvas Body Sizes we have a few different options that would work with the 5 Leg Serengeti . You can have a body size of (5.9m*3.5m). This would leave you with a veranda Space (Outside Space) of 2.5m. Another option would be having the 5 leg Serengeti with a body size of (6.6m*3.5m).This would leave you with a veranda Space (1.8m*3.5m).
The total size of the 6 Leg Serengeti is (10.5 * 5.1m / 16.7' * 34.4' ). For the Canvas Body Sizes we have a few different options that would work with the 6 Leg Serengeti . You can have a body size of (5.9m*3.5m). This would leave you with a veranda Space (Outside Space) of 4.6m. Another option would be having the 6 leg Serengeti with a body size of (6.6m*3.5m).This would leave you with a veranda Space (3.9m)

September is right around the corner and yet again the summer has come and gone. It seems that time flies by quicker and quicker with each passing week and with fall closing in, this weeks blog is dedicated to all of our current clients. Everything from your personal health to your families home regardless of the structure require maintenance. And to ensure you get the longest life possible out of your tented retreat proper care is an absolutely must.
A general rule of thumb to keeping your tent in tip top shape is to run through a visual inspection on a weekly basis. Observing changes and or irregularities are a must. Ensuring all fabrics are constantly under proper tension and are not becoming baggy, as well as keeping your eyes peeled for any markings such as mold, dirt,or dust will save you a lot of trouble down the road.
All the fabrics should be under constant tension at all times. Should the fabric become loose and start flapping in the wind, over time damage may occur to the canvas as well as the frame. However there is a delicate balance between not enough and just the right amount of tensioning. It is also suggested that the tent's outer canvas be wiped down with a soft sponge and light soap solution to keep the canvas clean and clear of dirt. The tents canvas, along with the windows storm flaps should be sponged down at least once every month or two.
We also offer a type of water base paint we call "canvas compound". This compound is a concentrate, and is mixed with water and best applied with a soft paintbrush. Generally applied every 1-3 years depending on your environment.
Its important to protect your one of a kind investment and with following these few tips your tent's will last you a lifetime. Living under canvas has never before been able to properly merge luxury and the beauty of nature Until now! with Exclusive Tents 'The World Is Our Canvas'.

5 of 5 Blog: Why Exclusive Tents is right for you.
Over the past decade glamping resorts have been popping up worldwide, and this eco friendly lifestyle is not going anywhere anytime soon. After 10 years, over 30 designs, and establishing many of the worlds most unique resorts, we still have yet to come close to reaching our limits. For the past month I have touched on a few of the top reasons why our versatile, and incomparable structures are right for you. Now not only are our designs unlike any other, but we can also completely customize your dream eco retreat to ensure that your vision is captured and that your resort is truly one of a kind.
Beautiful By Design:
It seems that most resorts around the world are not lacking in the luxury department. Even in the most remote locations across the globe guests expect to be entertained by all the "necessities' that come along with living in the 21st century. Almost always included are: big screen tv's, wifi, and gourmet cooking across the board. Well what if thats not enough? So as a business entrepreneur it may feel like it's becoming more and more difficult to rise up above all the rest. Well fear not. Be it a glamping retreat, or your typical 5 star resort, we have established that guests are more willing to pay for the unforgettable experience that your retreat offers than the simple luxuries. And whether it be the journey to the private suite for the weekend, or laying in bed listening to the call of the local wildlife the experience is what your guests will remember for years to come.
No location is off limits, and No environment is un suitable, so whats left to ensure that your retreat is superior to all the rest? How about living under canvas in a design that has been completely conformed to fit each and every one of your desires? Recently a private client of ours in The UAE put us too the test when he asked us to create a completely custom design larger and more extravagant than any we have done before. This unique design stands over 167 sqm (1,800 sq ft), and comes with a total living space of 126 sqm (1356 sq feet), and 4 verandas totaling 44 sqm (480 sq feet). Also Included in this one of a kind tent settled in the sands of the UAE, you will find a beautiful natural stone bathtub, along with many other customizations unique to the resort. Now even with the most beautiful custom structure in the world it should not be forgotten that the entire experience is much more than the dwelling itself.
Exclusive Tents is the perfect vehicle to your unique glamping/eco resort.

Blog Part 4 of 5 Reasons why Exclusive Tents is right for you.
Its true… No destination is off limits when you have an Exclusive Tent. A few details that should never be forgotten when designing a luxury resort are that 'privacy' and 'views' are two of the most important features to individuals seeking an experience and looking to escape the 'real world' for a few days. We all know that when purchasing a home or business property that location is huge. One resort that perfectly combined the environment along with our designs to reach the ultimate secluded yet glamorous getaway is Minaret Station in New Zealand.
Location,Location,Location: Your tented retreat deep in the jagged peaks of the Southern Alps above Lake Wanaka is nothing short of an adventure from the beginning. Helicopter is the only way to and from the resort as well as your only glimpse to some of the most scenic parts of the South Island. "We want our guests to share all of the aspects of the Southern Alps that meant so much to us growing up in this special environment," Matt (the director of tourism for the station) says. "Whether that be the change in the pure mountain breezes, waking up along with local wildlife, or soaking in the sounds of the nearby river entering the boulder-strewn gorge on its way down to the lake. In these tented suites, you experience the magic of the high country." The largest perk in having an Exclusive Tent is that much like camping you feel well connected to, and are able to become one with the surroundings, instead of feeling isolated and secluded while inside your room.
Whether you want a private island paradise or your own tree top retreat in the jungle, Exclusive Tents International can make your great idea a reality. 'The world is our canvas' and raising the bar in what is possible is our specialty.

Part #2
Still searching for the perfect solution to enable your resort or vacation home to stand out above the rest?
Never before has there been such an open platform which gateways innovative ideas and designs with the creation of 'one of a kind' resorts.
Exclusive Tents International along with Valentin owner of 4 Rivers Floating Lodge, Cambodia, really managed to get the imagination running wild with the creation of the worlds first ever floating lodge.
Incomparable: No roads, No Neighbors, Just Nature. "Away from tourist trails there lies a land of unspoiled virgin forest, startling colors, and calls of birds of paradise." However 4 Rivers Floating Lodge is more than your dream retreat. The real beauty is the unique experience this resort offers to clients. Exclusive Tent's designs along with the carefully crafted features of the floating deck enables the resort to relocate as they wish. Within a short amount of time the entire resort can be relocated anywhere along the Tatai River in which it resides. The freedom is within the tents ability to share not only a section of the river with clients, but to offer them an experience unlike any other and to really embrace the river in full. Leaving a minimal footprint with no long lasting impressions to the environment is a huge focus of ours. This project really opened our eyes to the success it has had in achieving such a delicate feat while also maintaining the luxury that is expected with any other 4 star resort.
In connection to last weeks blog, we discussed how Exclusive Tents is truly an investment. We explored how clients are willing to pay more for an accommodation that provides a better experience accompanied by unforgettable memories. 4 rivers did a masterful job of this very concept, by creating something incomparable to other resorts and has achieved great success.

Investments: We have all heard that it takes money to make money. Especially for starting your own resort. Within your typical small business setting it takes roughly 3-5 years on average to start turning profit. Now, instead of waiting years to make the return on your initial investment (ROI) there is Exclusive Tents International. Living under canvas is nothing short of an experience and an experience is what people expect when its comes to their accommodations. With the rapidly growing glamping and green living industry we have come to prove that the concept of luxury alternative accommodations are not only a fan favorite over the more typical resorts, but that people are willing to pay more for the experience our tents provide. Due to their attractive nature, along with their carefully chosen locations, clients of Exclusive Tents on an average have been charging $1200 per room, per night. Kasbah Tamadot, one of the more well known resorts we were apart of, is a prime example of a high end resort that has made back there investment very quickly. With having 9 tents total and an average room rate of $1200 per night… You get the point.

Happy July!
As a consumer living in the 21st century it seems that we're constantly bombarded by fast paced marketing gimmicks, and sold over priced products that are designed quickly and inexpensively to be out of date or unusable with in a few years. Too often companies are taking this 'fast food' approach and are more concerned with the quantity showing complete disregard for the quality of there product. Here at Exclusive Tents, we take a more wholesome approach focusing on quality, durability, and customer satisfaction. We believe in giving you what you pay for.
Currently we have clients that have had their tents standing for 17+ years. One question that is often asked is, what kind of wear and tear is common amongst our tents? Exclusive Tents unique designs are created in such a way that you will never have to completely replace the entire tent at once(except in the rare case of a natural disaster of course). If you find a component on the tent that needs replacing, you're able to remove the individual piece and replace it with ease at a very low cost.
Whether your thinking about establishing a 5 star resort or wish to create an eco friendly structure at your families favorite vacation spot, we want to provide you with trust and comfort in knowing that your perfect structure will be around for many years to come.

Happy May!
The weekend is here yet again, and this year seems to be flying by very quickly. I hope that you are all just as excited to see what the rest of the year may hold as we are.
There are many different materials that have been used to frame tents throughout time, and I thought I would do a blog on a topic that seems to be a growing concern with the rise of glamping resorts as of the past few years. "You pay for what you get" is something very true in the tent industry, and Exclusive Tents with being the worlds leader in canvas structures chooses only steel framing vs other such materials like aluminum and here is why.
First and foremost no frame is more durable than steel. It can ding, scratch, dent, and even bend and still retain structural integrity. When cared for steel frames can last a lifetime.
The same isn't true for aluminum. Aluminum is more brittle, so it's more susceptible to failure through fatigue and damage. A single dent in the wrong place could render an aluminum frame unsafe and useless. And when aluminum fails, it fails catastrophically.
We use high quality steel frames for the same reason every high-end contractor uses steel to build custom homes and buildings. There are no sky scrapers or large custom houses that use aluminum for structural integrity. This is because aluminum does not meet a high enough standard in quality or reliability.
We have done extensive research on aluminum framing for our tents, but after years of research and testing in laboratories and in the field we have definitively found aluminum to be substandard in comparison.
Thanks for reading and don't forget to check out www.exclusivetents.com to see what life under canvas is all about.

Hey All,
I hope you are all enjoying your Monday. We have been getting a lot of questions regarding our framing options recently so I decided to write this weeks blog surrounding that topic. More specifically the benefits of using verticalwood poles instead of a stainless steel frame. I have listed some pros and cons of both below.
Generally our tents are composed of a steel framed structure. We have a few different options to choose from including mild steel, 304 S/s and 316 S/s. You definitely want to go with a S/s option in any area that is prone to higher humidity or where rusting may be an issue. Another Benefit of choosing to go with the steel frame is that there is much more play room during the set up of the tent than if you were to use wooden poles. The steel poles get bolted into the floor and can be adjusted slightly to properly accommodate the tent and have much more room for error once placed than the wooden poles.
If local timber is available near the location of your tent site, you may want to consider going with a vertical wood pole setup. The benefits of having vertical wood poles are not only that it is very esthetically pleasing to ones eyes, it also increases the overall structural integrity of the tents. It is important to note that even when choosing to go with the vertical wood poles the roof framing will still be a steel framed structure. We also suggest choosing to go with the vertical wood poles in areas that are prone to harsher wind conditions. One of the down sides to wooden poles are that it is necessary to have a proper and confident carpenter on hand and in the area. Once the poles are in there and bolted down through the decking for maximum performance they are a lot harder to adjust than the steel poles. So it is important to make sure that the measurements are correct prior to setting the wooden beams into place. We are able to supply the vertical wood poles for you, but it generally benefits the client to obtain the wood locally. We will be able to provide you with the dimensions needed for the poles.
Go ahead and take a look at the pics below which show the difference between the vertical wood poles and the steel frame options.

Happy Wedneday!
For those who celebrate, we hope you had a safe and enjoyable holiday to start the week off.
This weeks blog will be geared more towards properly blending the tent site and surrounding environment with the exterior of the tent.
Specifically highlighting how to choose the best canvas color option for your tent.
Don't forget to check out our web site for: updates on recent projects, pictures, and answers to frequently asked questions that will help you make your tented resort project a reality. (www.exclusivetents.com)
When it comes to selecting the right color option's for your tent, it may not seem like a tough decision that requires lots of thought. However it should not be taken lightly. Choosing the right color option can either help merge the tent with the surroundings. Or it can accentuate and really enable the tents to stand out and "pop" from rest of the property. The choice is yours.
The lighter more "earthy" options (sand, coconut) would most definitely blend in best with the coastal / desert environments. This would be ideal for clients who would prefer to have there tents seamlessly merge with the surroundings. Enabling yourself to become virtually incognito to the untrained eye if one wishes. Or if you were to choose one of the brighter more prominent colors (olive, jungle green) to be placed in the same environment, It would really allow for the tent to "stand out" from the rest of the area. This has been useful to clients who are surrounded by conventional structures with no other means of standing out aside from the tent itself. It can offer a totally different feel and appeal to those who may not have noticed or been paticularily interested in the property if it had blended in with the rest of the surroundings.
We offer a few different canvas color options to choose from ranging between: olive, jungle green, sand, or coconut. We also offer specialty colors ranging from navy blue to grey with larger orders.
There you have it. Another reason why every little detail that goes into your tent is just as important as the envisioned overall project.
A tent brings us closer to our primordial selves in a way that no other structure can do and ultimately enhances the experience of living in luxury at the same time.

Happy February!
We hope that each of you enjoyed your weekend and are looking forward to the week that lay ahead.
Recently we have been asked some questions that seem to be a great topic for discussion when one is thinking of pursuing a life under canvas and becoming submersed in the beauty of nature. Please keep in mind that we are more than happy to answer any and all questions that each and every one of you may have. Simply send us a message via Facebook or from our website directly and we will get back to you right away.
Many clients in the past have asked what the best way to go about "insect proofing" the tents and decking would be. As with any type of outdoor dwelling it is wise to learn what wild animals, reptiles, amphibians or insects may be present on the property. This will also help determine how to keep the tents, as well as guests safe. It is better to have the knowledge of these creatures than to not have it. Not only is it a way of knowing the existence of such creatures, but can also be a great asset and incorporated into planning. This will also give you an idea on how high the decking will need to be off of the ground to avoid any interference with guests. With the design of our tents, the canvas walls each have a PVC sleeve located at the bottom. You then take the square tubing, which is provided, and fill all of the PVC sleeves. You then drill through the square tubing into the your foundation, which is built on site. This then creates a seal that keeps out the insects and etc. For extra protection you can also then go over the seal with caulking all along the sides of the tent if necessary. Another great solution was shown in a recent trip to one of our tents. The client has raised the tent onto a 12' wooden base where the wall then meets the floor creating an additional seal and some extra precaution against water and insects as such. ( see picture below). Generic insect sprays are also another great simple solution for the perimeter of the tent and decking area.
There are some easy solutions to merging your tent with the environment and helping protect keep out unwanted visitors.
Happy Monday!

This weeks "Tips For Tents" was inspired by a recent trip to visit a Mambrrr Tent that was set up in one of the most beautiful, and secluded jungle locations we have ever seen.
Recently we have had a few clients who asked what our secret methods are in creating the most efficient lighting that will create the perfect ambiance for both inside and outside the tent. This week we will focus on the interior.
There are many different ways that we have found to most effectively integrate both natural lighting, as well as the perfect amount of artificial lighting in the tents. One of the main points to keep in mind when beginning to create your dwelling is that lighting inside the tent should be done creatively. Creative lighting would effectively compliment the tent, but at the same time would do so by avoiding any directly light glaring in ones eyes. LED lighting seems to be a perfect match when done properly for the inside of the tent and definitely touches home with the overall ambiance. Another method we have found to be quite successful for clients has been to install recessed lighting throughout the foundation of the tent. The recessed lighting should be pointed strategically with the most desired locations hidden behind furniture, with the lighting pointed towards the wall to help accentuate the flow of the canvas and unique features of our fabric. With the most efficient projected lighting it will not only provide the appropriate light to the area, but will also merge the tents beauty with the natural surrounding environment. The overall lighting of the tent is something that you want to completely and thoroughly plan out prior to the set up of your tent. Preferably even have the entirety of the electrical wiring ran through either the decking or the steel framing components of the tents.
I hope that this was insightful and informative to those of you who are interested in owning an Exclusive Tent or designing your own eco friendly retreat one day.
Cheers
